Welcome to Lamar Elementary, Conroe ISD - The Woodlands, TX.  My name is Teri Ann Standefer.  I am the Instructional Coach at Lamar.  I have the privilege of helping Mrs. Kirbo, our principal, and Mrs. Mathe, our assistant principal, support students and teachers as we all work toward the goal of student success!  Please let me know if I can ever assist you or your child!  Also, check this page periodically throughout the school year for useful academic information.  Scroll down to see where I have begun a list of learning websites you and your child may enjoy exploring.  I wish you a wonderful 2016-17 school year!

About Mrs. Standefer...

  • My husband, Coach Standefer, coaches football and baseball at ORHS.
  • My daughter, Joy, is an 8th grader and Level 8 team gymnast at WGA.
  • This is my 18th year as a Texas educator and 4th year in the position of Instructional Coach.
  • I taught 3rd grade for 9 years, 2nd grade for 3 years, and have taught 4th and 5th grades as well, mostly in Tyler ISD.  I have also taught in Magnolia ISD.
  • I am originally from Tyler, TX, and I am a Baylor bear!  Sic 'em!
  • Other experience that I have in education includes writing/editing educational materials, educational sales, and directing/teaching at Sylvan Learning Center, Tyler.
  • My graduate level coursework includes studies in algebraic thinking at the elementary level as well as integrating quality literature throughout all subjects.  I am continuing graduate work through HBU.
  • In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, and spending time with family.
  • I think education is a very rewarding career, and, as a parent myself, I value quality and excellence at school for all students!
