I'm Mrs. Peppers and this is my 8th year of teaching ART.  I taught for 5 years in Spring ISD, and for 2 years at another school here in Conroe ISD.  I am so excited to be here at Lamar Elementary.  I have a 4 year old little boy, a 2 year old little girl, and have been married to my awesome husband for 6 years!  I can truly say that I am doing what I love, and I love what I do!  Looking foward to the best year EVER!!!

In ART Class this year we will be working with many different materials and mediums such as crayon, marker, colored pencil, oil pastels, watercolor, tempra paint, acrylic paint, printmaking, clay & sculpture. We will also talking about different styles/techniques of art in history and focusing on famous artist and learning about their lives and what makes their artwork unique.  This year I am EXCITED to get children EXCITED about ART at Lamar Elementary!
Art Club!!!
Art Club is now up and running!  And I am trying something new this year.  We are squeezing in 10 weeks of art club all into 2 weeks, by having it every morning (over a 3 week time span by skipping a week in between the 2 weeks) and so far it is really working out great.  I am really seeing some great benefits by doing it all jam packed in a week long session at a time.  The students are getting much more deeply involved in their art projects and it is definitely showing up in their work!
